Dr. Sandeep Kumar Mathur is an Endocrinologist based in Jaipur, currently serving as Professor and Head of Department of Endocrinology at the SMS Medical College and Hospital. His clinical and academic responsibilities include heading the endocrinology unit and providing out-patient and indoor services and consultation to patients admitted in various speciality wards, besides clinical teaching of residents. Dr. Mathur completed his MBBS and MD in Medicine from SMS Medical College in Jaipur in 1987 and 1991 respectively. He went on to obtain the superspeciality DM degree in Endocrinology in 1995 from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. In addition to this he has specialised training certification and a fellowship in molecular genetics from London.
Dr. Sandeep Mathur has also been generous with respect to sharing the knowledge he has gained, in the form of imparting education. To this end, he has had a long academic association with SMS Medical College from March 1996 onwards, holding the posts of Assistant Professor in Medicine and Endocrinology and Associate Professor of Endocrinology, prior to taking on his current designation of Professor in July 2008.
Dr. Mathur is keenly involved in research and has conducted several clinical trials over the years. He is also a dedicated writer, having contributed regularly with papers and articles, many of which have been published in peer-reviewed journals. In addition to this, he has attended a large number of conferences in India and internationally, presenting some of the article abstracts on occasion.
